Hyphen-Con 2015::Eleven Years of Hyphen-it!
Time to start getting ready for this year's Hyphen-con!
When: Saturday Nov 14th and Sunday Nov 15th, 2015
Where: Mordraine's Offices (thanks for hosting again Andy!) [Note, offices will be in the same location in Sorrento Valley area, details/address to follow later]
What: RPGs and Potluck on Sat, Board/Card/other games on Sun. Game swap (bring your old games to trade) either day, but Sat usually has more people and trades. Prizes & other craziness TBD (not sure we have any sponsors this year).
Who: is running things? We vote! So start thinking about what you want to run (max of 2 submissions per GM please). Voting will happen the week of the 12th-18th of October, I'll be posting the 'Pimp your game' thread right after this post.
Why: Because 'The Hyph' is awesome!
Discussion, things I forgot, etc - this thread you are reading right now.
Put your hat in the ring to run games - the 'Pimp Your Game' thread.
More to come later.
--> Make sure to Subscribe to this thread so you will be notified when new stuff happens. I'll be posting to last year's thread so everyone subscribed there will get an email also and I'll send out a mass email to all users. I think Andy or Chris or someone could post to Facebook or Google+ also, if you like that sort of thing.

Needs more games.
Not that those don't sound like great games, but... 10 games for probably six slots? Seems like there should be more. What happened?

Clearly, Mike, I forgot to sign up. (No, I might be moving that weekend. Still don't know. Which means I wouldn't be able to go.)

Well, hopefully you can make it. You're so busy these days shaping the course of popular culture, I feel like I never see you anymore!toddvdw wrote:Clearly, Mike, I forgot to sign up. (No, I might be moving that weekend. Still don't know. Which means I wouldn't be able to go.)

Ok everyone, home stretch - The Hyph is *this weekend*! Don't forget to think about the following:
* what you are bringing to the potluck
* games & rpg books for the trading table
* boardgames to bring on Sunday
* GMs: your notes & pregens ;)
REMINDER: The venue is at Mord's work building:
The address is:
5186 Carroll Canyon Rd
San Diego, CA 92121
[[Saturday the 14th - RPG Day]]
Doors open: 11:30 or Noon (hanging out, food, trades, etc)
First Game: ~ 12:30 or 1pm - play to 5pm
Break for more food, Ping-Pong, etc
Second Game: ~ 6:00 or 6:30 - play till 10 or 11
Break for more hanging out; some folks leave
Unofficial ~Midnight game for anyone still around (traditionally short; ends ~2 or so) [Mord may have to kick us out early this year, play it by ear.]
[[Sunday the 15th - Boardgame Day]]
Doors open: [later this year due to Mord's schedule - say 12:30pm]
Freeform board games & trading & such
Break for lunch (usually go to one of the eateries around; Sunday isn't so much with the potluck)
More Freeform board games & trading & such
End around 6pm or so probably
Any Questions - let us know!

I'm bringing nametags. As usual, we'll have a few new or sorta-new faces this year.

Sorry I can't make it this year. The movers demanded I stay. (By which I mean my wife.) Will hopefully be around next year!

Nope. current status of this year's hyph: Mord is working on the date for when he can host. Once that is nailed down all the usual pimping, voting, and other stuff will commence. Hopefully sometime this coming week!
