I had heard rumblings and whispers that Nightmare On Elm Street was going to be rebooted, but have only just confirmed it. Normally, I'd suck it up, as I've done with dozens of other re-makes . . . until I found out that Robert Englund would not be playing Freddy!

So now, I seek input from the SD-RPG family. His replacement is Jackie Earle Haley, whose most recent works include playing Rorschach in Watchmen. I've not yet seen said film, so I seek your opinions: will Mr. Haley do justice to the dream-bound killer of teens?

yes...you should watch his earlier works with Walter Mattheu

Yeah, if you've read the Watchmen comic, Jackie Earle Haley portrayed a very, VERY convincing Rorschach.

I never really got into the Nightmare On Elm Street movies, only ever saw the first one start to finish, but I do believe Mr. Haley could handle the role of Freddy Krueger.
