the 40 year old virgin
went to fashion valley mall with a couple of friends yesterday at 1PM for a 1:15 showing. it was packed to the rafters so we traded our tickets in for the next showing at 4:15. here's a micro review...
two words: it is funny. about a billion times funnier than that sorryass anchorman. has most of the cast of freaks and geeks, and undeclared in it. everybody's performance was top notch. carell is hilarious as all get out and keener, as well as most of the characters, are pretty spot on. get off your ass and go watch it, if only to see how well they captured the life of a geek.

Anchorman was funny. But I gotta agree with jimmy. 40 Year Old Virgin was much funnier. Holy crap that movie was funny. My cheek muscles were sore from laughing so much, it was so funny. Damn it was funny.
Hey man, I'm slinging volume and fat stacking benjies, you know what I mean? I can't be all about spelling and shit!

What can I say? Anchorman is a subtle work of art, a masterful blend of the tragic and the absurd. Albert, you know I'm no plebian when it comes to fine cinema. Many's the lively discussion we've had over a steaming cup of espresso on the aesthetics of Fellini or the whispering delicacies that issue forth from Wong Kar Wai's camera. Think back on these conversations of yesteryear and remember me, friend. Then go fuck yourself.
