Next Game

Post by cczernia »

Since we are moving Fading Suns to a weekend game and Andy doesn't want to run 3 times in a row what should our next game be?

I like the idea of doing Microscope were we create a world and a timeline and each take turns running short campaigns within that time line. I'm also down for running/playing a campaign of Dungeon/Apocalypse World (or Monsterhearts).

Also I'm interested in returning to John's Scion game.

For the Champions game I might be down to run some new Iron Kingdoms. The multi-timeline shared game (via Microscope) sounds kinda cool too. I've never done a campaign of any of the *World games, that could be interesting.

I'm probably free for the 13th on Fading Suns.

I'd be interested in a campaign of Monster Hearts. I'd only be interested in Apocalypse World if we replace the Sex Moves with something else. Because they're just plain annoying. Dungeon World is less interesting to me because (a) there are a lot of other D&D versions out there, and we've been there, done that. And (b) if we're gonna do a fantasy game, I'd rather do Iron Kingdoms.

The Microscope thing sounds good too. Although I also feel that we've done that before, or at least part of it. We did our own world-building exercise when we created that post-apoc world. I'd need to know more about the Microscope process. Is there a website? Is this a published thing?

Scion sounds like a great idea too.

I guess my preference would be:
a) Monster Hearts
b) Iron Kingdoms
c) Scion
d) Microscope

Oh, and I'll have to check my calendar (i.e. Shawnie) to see if I'm free for Oct 13.

Just to note that Monsterhearts also has sex moves. Whether we play AW or MH we can remove them.

I vote for Iron Kingdoms with my patented 'All Sex Moves, All The Time!' system.

I did not know/remember that re: MonsterHearts. Grr. MH now moves to the bottom of the list.
