That's it. Just nuke the planet from orbit, and let life start over in another few million years.

Ah, but they're not adolescents anymore: we're all growns up and producing Broadway musicals.

Did you notice the price of tickets? $19.00! In New York City! We gotta be talkin' off, off, off, off-braodway for this puppy. Which probably means that it will die a silent death except for the occasional mid-west community theatre revival. I must say that I loved Robert Preston in the movie (sad though that it had to be his last flic).

What do you mean that movie wasn't good. A teenage kid who is obsessed with video games finally beats level 10 and gets accepted into an alien starfighter squad to stop the evil aliens from taking over the universe.
Now, just add singing and dancing. Wow, I mean WOW!

I saw it last weekend. Cool spoof on Last Starfighter. Any episode with the mooninites is great.

Well.
It beats Carrie: The Musical. Which really exists.
Or, Backdraft, the Musical. Which would be hillarious.
And what me and a fella from school joke about every so often: Kung Fusical.
As to the Last Star Fighter...
Well, building the set would be fun.

Set, they don't need no stinkin' set! (plus they probably have a scenery budget of $35.47, like I said before, they are only charging $19.00 to see it).
My guess is a few props and a lot of projections...maybe they can use that big x-box...

Plenty of shows start off-broadway with decent producers, and then move upwards. This one looks like its gonna die and early and ugly death, especially cos most of the names connected to it have never been in charge of a major design yet - just google the names, and you'll see.
I'm betting there will be at least a -few- decent sized set pieces...

I saw it at the Pantages in LA, with Jason Alexander and Martin Short, but I still greatly prefer the movie. Zero Mostel is without peer.

So true on Zero. I also missed the hippy actor in the musical.

Ditto. I thought the solution in the stage show was ingenious and made sense, plus it saved them from having to put another character out there, but LSD certainly brought something to the role of Hitler.
