There are a number of conventions and game days that occur in San Diego and Southern California area. StrategiconThis is the largest gaming convention in Southern
California. It occurs three times a year during
President's Day weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, and Labor
Day Weekend. The convention has ton of rpgs as well as
miniature gaming, board games, and card games. Gamer-Con & Games DayGamerCon
celebrates gaming through tabletop games and rpgs but also includes video games theater, art and rooftop parties.

There are a number of game stores in San Diego and places to play. The have a great selection of RPGs including indy and OSR titles. The game store is a great place to play with tables for board games and rpgs. It also includes a few private areas. There is a few to play or you can pay montly/yearly fee. Bards & Cards
936 5th Avenue Located downtown San Diego the have an great selection of indy rpgs as well as mainstream games and RPG accessories. Staff is friendly and they have tables in the back that can be rented for $10/hours. Game Empire5037 Shawline St Has a decent selection of games including D&D, White Wolf, Shadowrun, Star Wars and Savage Worlds and a few other popular titles. The also have a healthy selection of used rpgs. There is plenty of gaming tables and they sell snacks. At Ease Games8990 Miramar Rd #140 Good selection of RPGs and minis. They have 3D printer where you can order custom minis. Gaming space in the back that is more for miniature and card gaming. Pair A Dice2020 Hacienda Dr Suite N A nicely layed out store up in North County with a healthy selection of old and new rpgs. Includes a game room and events. |
