So now that work is finished kicking my ass for the time being, who's interesting in getting together for some gaming? I think next weekend is out (Liz's dad is staying with us), but maybe the 10th?

barring any weird school-related filming assignment shenanigans, heck yeah, i'd like to game. i can run an og one-shot if no one comes up with anything else.

It's on like Donkey Kong!

Also, did we still want to play some D&D4 because if so I was thinking we could start making characters and I wanted to try this setting creation method that I read about.

That was such a blast, thank you all so much.

What do we play next, and when do we play it?

We're going camping next weekend - I don't know of plans for the next Friday, though. I was bummed to realize that we're going out to the desert the night of Jenny's open house :( Albert, will you tell her I'm thinking of her and all the cool looking stuff we're bound to miss out on?

Did we want to do D&D4 or do we want to keep it indy one shot games?

Anyone one up for some gaming. I was thinking one of these games if you are interested:

Grey Ranks - Polish teenage rebels during WWII.

Shab AlHira Roach - Early 20th century Ivy League professors get possessed by an alien roach and start killing each other.

Mortal Coil - make it up as you go magic game.

Universalis - make it up as you go anything game.

Any of those sound awesome.

all those sound awesome! i'm good for whatever. it's been way too long.

Well, my top choices are Grey Ranks and Mortal Coil.

One catch for each game:

Grey Ranks - GMless

Mortal Coil - diceless (uses a system of colored chips that you bet against another player).

The reason I want to do Mortal Coil is that I've been itching for an angel/demon kind of like In Nomine. Mortal Coil allows the players to define the setting. So, if you want an angel to be able to fly you spend a coin and they can from that point on.

Actually, Primetime Adventures would work really well, too. It uses cards instead of dice.

How does January ninth work for everyone?

Sounds good to me. I'm free the 9th.

That sounds wonderful. Winter says, from the couch, he'd totally be down. I'll make dinner if the kitchen isn't completely disassembled at that point. I've got to finish the painting on this vacation.

the 9th works for me, too. between grey ranks and mortal coil, i'd pick the latter. i also have yet to play primetime adventures. but really, it isn't a big deal to me what we play, just as long as we do.

That really was cool. I really like the way that game goes together and, of course, you guys are always SO fun.

If you look for the highest rated latke recipe on allrecipes, you'll find a good one. Throw in a handful of dill. They even have instructions written by the staff about making them if you search latkes. I re-read all that before making them since I hadn't in so long.

I was wondering if we could push it back a week. I'm sick and though I'd probably be able to make it I would be more coherent on the 30th.

Let's hold off until the 30th. I'd rather see Chris in top form :) (And I don't want your cold. This semester is... it's going to be interesting.)

There were legal issues. Evidently we're being sued by the makers of In Nomine. We'll resume production as soon as we reach a settlement. Plus, we're trying not to let on that the producer's secretly in rehab.

i'm off to las vegas tonight with jenny for the weekend. sorry. looks like tonight's episode of ecclesia will have no mortals. it's just as well, everyone knows the angels and hellions bring in the ratings anyway:)
