Father Thorn's full Christmas outfit. It's his regular outfit with a stocking cap and everything black turned to a dark red. I actually like the colors, so much so that I think when he reaches 20, I'll make his second costume this one (with his regular hat).

So, is anyone playing anymore? I never see anyone on. Occasionally Richard is on, but only on CoV. D-man misses his buds.

When are you gonna be back up and running, Cthulhu?

I'll be back on regularly in about a week. I'm making use of my 14 free days of SWG to try to examine as much of the NGE as I can. It also helps prevent burnout with CoH/V

BTW, very cool banner.

Sorry, my account lapsed, and I'm waiting for my new bank visa card to come in (my old one doesn't work). However, I just got CoV tonight, and that gives you a month free, so I should be back as of tonight once I get it installed.

Well, the Champions of Liberty got a new member. I met BlackMagic in AP, and "she" asked to join. Said "she" hadn't been playing much and wanted to get back into the game. So, I figured what the heck? We can use the money.

Image

And today, I got a wild hair and made an Archery/Energy blaster. The Disgruntled Cherub. Bringing the love by force, if necessary.

Wow, I have to get back into this game when I have the chance.

Gotetsu, is your base part of CoV or CoH? I mean, have they been radically updating CoH along with CoV's release, or is all the new cool stuff part of CoV?

Also, has anyone checked out the CoH RPG? The "quickplay pack" is free on DriveThruRPG, in case anyone's curious to see how the MMORPG works without the MMO.

Incidentally, the quickplay pack looks like it "went to press" before anyone at Eden Studios had a chance to proofread it, so... enjoy that.

The Base feature requires CoV (and CoH, if you're a hero). Without CoV you can't access your SG's Base.

There is a lot of cool new stuff in CoV as well. New Archetypes, different types of missions, additional costume options (which I wish they would make available in CoH), etc...

If you get back in, you can join up with the Champions of Liberty.

What server are you on again? I bet my 28th level Blaster on Champion has been wiped by now....

Months ago, I fully intended to buy CoV the day it came out, but by the time that happened I couldn't justify the expense for a game I really wasn't playing anymore (the last time I played was during the Memorial Day please-come-back freebie weekend). I still want to get it, but I'm not sure when that'll happen.

On thier forums Statesman has stated in no uncertain terms that CoH players who also have CoV will soon have access to the additional costume parts.

Well, some new developments in the CoL. First off, our newest member quit. BlackMagic found another SG that was more active then us, so I don't blame her.

Second, I built the beginnings of the Base today. We only have 2 rooms, an entry room with a couch and TV...and restrooms!
Image

And a workshop with a work bench...
Image

And a meeting table...
Image

In other news, Dynamo-Man has changed his alternate costume. He has been doing a lot of missions dealing with the supernatural in Croatoa and Dark Astoria (which FUCKING SUCKS!!), so he wanted a more "Paranormal Investigator" type of look.

Love the football picture.

So, in looking over my screenies from Beta, I realized that I forget to add something to Mauler Max when I recreated him... his beard!

What do you guys think, should I re-roll him with the beard added back on?

I almost forget... due to a strange fluke, Legion Prime ended up UNDER Mercy Island last night.

Image

Eventually, he swam to a part with no water, and fell.... back onto Mercy Island, way on the other side of it, where all the enemies were conning RED and PURPLE to me!

That's freakin awesome!

As to Max, I would redo him. He looks better with the beard. Also, I noticed yesterday that his chest is too big. He looks like a Rob Leifeld picture! I'd tone that down a bit. And why is he so short? Just curious.

before you re-roll, I just wanted to make sure you know that the FACE shop is pretty easy to reach, even for a lev 2 villain, and costume modification costs are based on level these days, so that might be a preferable choice...

He's not short, he's over 6 feet tall! Just because I like to make characters that are within human size ranges, rather than maximizing the slider... :P

And, you're right, looking at those pictures, his chest is out of wack. It didn't look that bad when I first made him.

And Re-rolling him isn't so bad, it'll take me like an hour, maybe 2 to get him back to 5th.

So, I re-did Max, and he looks TONS better.

Image

And here's one of Max and Dr. Nuetronic.

Image

Also, I created the arch-nemisis of Hero-Man and Sidekick-Boy. Watch out, here comes the Evil Villain!

Image

I made him a technology dominator, gravity controller/ice assault. I wanted electricity, but it wasn't in there. I skipped Energy assualt, because in CoH I have an energy blaster, and in CoV I have an energy corruptor. I finally settled on Ice because of this:

Image

Brief background, Otto Von Blud, prince of Bludhakastan, was a brilliant scientest visiting Paragon City demonstrating his gravity displacement machine. The seminar was attacked by Clockwork, and Hero-Man showed up. Dealing with a clockwork sent it flying into the machine, which caused it to explode, scarring Otto for life. Returning to his home, he built a suit of armor that included the technology of his gravity machine as well as some new ice weapons he had created. Now, he's returned to Paragon to get his revenge!

Ok, I made Dr. Neutronic about 6'1" and the old Max came up to his shoulder. :P

Anyways, yeah, he looks a lot better.

And Evil Villain looks awesome. I made his lackey, Joe Thug last night (without seeing your post), but forgot to get a screenie. Basically a big SS/Inv Brute in tan pants, a black shirt with the sleeves up, black fingerless gloves, a tan tie, and Bola hat. He's got that "screwed up" face with a big mustache. I think he looks great. I'll post a pic when I get home. :)
