Number of rpg-sandiego members?

Post by ekomega »

I noticed on the bottom of the main page, that is says this:
"Threads: 5,718, Posts: 72,078, Members: 11,752"

There are almost 12,000 members of this forum?! What the hell?

I can think of maybe 20 (that's a stretch) active members on this forum. Who are this mysterious army of lurkers? Is that number right?

A lot of them are spambots. In fact, I'd say close to 11,750 of them are spambots.

Whoa. I'm in an army of lurkers? Good grief.

Look to your left. Now look to your right. Two of the three of you are spambots.

Thankfully we haven't gotten any spam posting recently like ... "Live nude girls on web cam, click here!" or some other BS.

Either way, I am here to roleplay, and find people to roleplay with (preferably in the SouthBay (i.e. south of CA-54)). Especially Star Trek.

Well, that's because of two things. One, we started moderating a couple frequently hit forums. That helped a lot, at first, but eventually the spammers wised up. So now (or "Two"), moderate new users as well, which prevents the spambots from even getting the chance to post at all.
