Play by Post..."The Thing"

Hi everyone,

Just thought of a fun game a group of us can play online on a weekly basis...requires more than 8 players

It's like the game of Mafia. If you never have played Mafia don't worry. It's kinda easy to get a hang of.
A person is randomly picked as the Detective
A person is randomly picked as the Clairvoyant
Two players are randomly picked as 'The thing.'
The rest of the players are...potential paranoid victims

The goal is for the Detective, Clairvoyant and the potential paranoid victims to kill 'The Things'

The goal of 'the Things' is to kill all players till one is left

So the sequence of events starts on Monday.

Monday I will post who the 'The Things' have killed.

Tuesday the detective will PM me one guess as to who she thinks is 'the Thing' and I will answer either 'yes' or 'no'

Wednesday...if the detective fails to PM me, then a clue will be given to the clairvoyant

Thursday the players vote to kill a player in the game...If no one votes or there is a tie then no one is killed. If you are dead you cannot vote.

Before Monday 'the Things' will PM me who they wish to kill. 'The things' will know each other.

If you choose to play I will need you to write your characters name, brief description, favorite weapon, favorite word or phrase, and what you fear the most. The last thing you will add is what you are if you are 'The Thing'...such as Werewolf, Homicidal Alien, Vampire, Shoggoth Lord...you get the idea

There will be a thread posted so everyone can talk in character and try to convince everyone they are not 'the Thing.' When you are talking you must use your favorite word or phrase.

What you fear the most: Cramped spaces
What you are if you are 'The Thing': A Man-eating alien from Jupiter.

So since we have 6 brave people to play the game I'm going to slim the game down a bit.
There is only going to be one detective and one Thing
So basically there will be no clairvoyant and the extra thing is taken out
