Well, I'm going up there tomorrow, but I don't know how long I'll stay. Until they get sick of me, probably. We'll see.

If you fuckers get together, you can't start the Jedi Academy game. I'm just sayin'. You are welcome to play anything else, but I'm putting my foot down on that one.

jedi academy it is then. Mike, let us know what type of character you were going to play so we can all be that. we'll let you know how it played.

seriously though, it sounds like we are just gonna give it a miss this weekend and pick back up next time.

Is everyone still on for the 11th, as previously agreed? I see some disturbing talk of a GM Conclave game on the same weekend.

Somehow I missed the update on this thread, plus the fact that we're gaming this Saturday. Shit and shit again, since I was trying to plan a mini-painting session. Sorry Mike.

I don't see why we can't still have the mini-painting session. I'm down.

So! How's the weekend after GenCon for everyone?

Also, I appreciate the offer to play in Irvine -- I really do -- but the problem is that I don't really have a place to play here (or there, since I'm not there right now) that can accommodate seven people. Playing at UCI is a dodgy proposition that involves squatting in an open classroom, and our apartment just wouldn't comfortably handle all of us plus Jill even if the place weren't rapidly filling up with baby furniture. I don't mind visiting San Diego once a month (or three times a month, in the case of July), and while I don't consider it an inconvenience for me to drive down there it seems a bit much to have six people (all of you) make that trip instead of just one (me). So
I thank you for the repeated offers over the past couple years, but that's why I haven't taken you guys up on it.

That said, once the baby comes along and overnight trips to San Diego become a little less tenable, I'll probably be a little more open and/or desperate where this is concerned.

I'm good for the 29th. Yay me.

We can do something from my GenCon stack if we're not able to do Spirit of the Sword. MARS, Ragnarok, Summerland... all hold appeal for me. Even Earthdawn and Weird War II...

Thanks for indulging me yesterday with the D&D game. Sorry it went long (again), but your feedback has helped me slim it down a bit so I can cram into a four-hour block at Gateway. Hope everyone had fun anyway!

i thought it thoroughly rocked, even if a tad long. my favorite was the first bit when i whispered old man zadoc's name before talking to him inside the inn of the comely lass or hoary whore, or whatever. and i liked playing jermyn. thanks for running, man! my only regret is that wasn't energetic enough to stay till 7-ish.

All right then! Back to Gaius and Xavier and their wacky menagerie of oddities.

How's next Saturday the 12th for people? I'm going to be down in San Diego anyway, and, as it turns out, it's the only weekend in September that actually works for me.
