Drew's Auction!

Post by Drew »

I have lots of old stuff that I don't use any more and want to give away and/or trade. I am going to start a list of items and keep adding to it over the next day or so as I clean out my back room. Whatever I don't get rid of here wil either go to goodwill or the alley behind my house for the scavengers. Rather give them to people I know...

Please excuse the running narrative.

The rules are simple. I'll list it, you ask for it, I give it to you. If more than one person asks for it, start showing me how much you want it!

We'll start the bidding off with "come and get it!" and go from there. I'll stop the "bidding" when I want.
Oh, and the only real rule for what I am looking to swap (should the bidding ever get above free) is it needs to be small. I want more space at the end of this, not less.

(If you want me to keep editing my one post let me know, otherwise, I'll list them all seperately.

Here is a list of the game books I have (in no real order and most are quite old):

AD&D Player's Option: Skills and Powers

Gary Gygax's Dangerous Journeys Game master screen
Rifts (main book)
The Book of Shadows; Mage player's guide
Werewolf the Apocalypse
Planescape : A players guide to the planes/DMs guide to the plane
AD&D Monster Manual (circa 1979 printing)
Cyberpunk 202: Solo of Furtune
Rifts Sourcebook
Rifts Index
Cyberpunk rough guide to the UK
Outcasts: A players Guide to Pariahs (WoD)
Cyberpunk 2020 (core rule book)
Sword and Fist
Vamp.:Player's Guide (two of these)
Baldur's gate perfect guide
Virtual Adept: Mage Tradition book
Skraypers (Rifts Superheros)
Battletech: The Clans
Mage the Ascension
Heroes Unlimited
Seattle Sourcebook (shadowrun 1e)
Battletech Rule book (from box set)
The Palladium Role Playing Game
The Rigger Black Book (shadowrun 2e)
Rifts Conversion Book

Steve Jackson's Man to Man (not gay porn- fantasy combat rules circa 1985)
AD&D and 3e Complete Psionics Handbook (two different books)
Tome and Blood
3e Montser Manual
Vampire The Masquerade
Arcana Evolved (printed PDF)
Sword and Sorcery: Creature collection
Sword and Sorcery: Relics and Rituals
Forgotten realms campaign setting

None of them are worth anything, but I hate to throw books away so if anyone wants any of these, please speak up! Maybe someone knows some new gamers with no money? Like kids in a library?
I will find others as the cleaning progresses...

Slightly wonkey X-box (works but sometimes skips and cuases problems)
w/ Jade Empire
Xmen Legends
(Arx Fatalis might be in the machine-might not)

TV (with built in VCR)

Nintendo DS (works- Have one Zelda game for it)

An older Sony desktop that would work if someone wanted to take the time. All I know for sure is there is no hard drive since I removed it and put in in my new computer. Have an old moniter to go with it, but not a flatscreen.

A hodge podge of Warhammer 40k minis. Not sure what there is exactly, but it includes Eldar, Tyranid with a few Orc and Marines to boot.
Mostly plastic with a few metal of whatever varity. Not the best condition as they've gove to Japan and back and currently reside in a platic bin, all tumbled in there.

Currently have a bid of "I'll give them to you at the next game." Can I get a bid of a Six pack of Diet Hansen's Root Beer? :)

I know it looks like I am getting rid of a lot of junk... well, that's pretty much true, but most of it is junk someone might be able to use.

If no one else has asked for it already, I'll take the Nintendo DS with Zelda game.

It's yours for the low, low price of taking four of my game books as well. :)

Ha! I would, but I'm trying to get rid of a huge chunk of my own game books, for largely the same reason you are. :)

hey drew, what condition are the planescape books in, and what do you want for 'em?

my wife would like the "perfect" binder, as she's a professional bookbinder. what would you want for that?

one last question: how compatible/incompatible is the hp printer-- can it work with a macbook?

I'll take these off your hands:

Rifts Sourcebook
Rifts Index
Skraypers
Heroes Unlimited
The Palladium Role Playing Game
Rifts Conversion Book
Vampire The Masquerade
Vamp.:Player's Guide
Werewolf the Apocalypse

(though I'm not sure what the first one is, unless you mean the revised/expanded Sourcebook 1?)

Four of those can pay off BlanchPrez's book-taking debt ;)

I'm not adverse to the idea of taking some minis as well, if needed.

dunno what you want for that stuff, but I have an extra blender if that interests you.

Planescape books are like new. THey are left overs from a box set. Dunno if you were expecting big thick books or not, but they are still like new. :)

The current bid on the binder is "Come and get it!" Act now, and I'll throw in a ream of paper or two! :)

I don't know how compatabile the printer is but if you have a serial port (the old style printer port) it should work fine. Alternatley, if you're at handy with this sort of thing, you can buy a cheap network card for it on line and simply insert it. It's all set up to be a network printer, I just never bought the parts.

No use for a blender. But So far you're the only bidder so it's at "come and get them and they are yours!"

The Rifts Source book is simply called "Rifts Sourcebook." It's got a picture of a man in some cyber throne flanked by some deadly looking borgs and borg hounds. I'm pretty sure it is the second rifts book ever, hence the simple name.

The minis are pretty much spoken for unless your willing to up the offer to a six pack of Diet Hansen's soda. :)

I can always split them if there is one side or the other you were interested in. The Eldar and Tyranid minis make up the bulk of my collection.... Basically Good and Evil. So are you a Good man or and Evil one. ;>

Cool - I can pick them up sometime (not sure what area of town you are located in, but I'm in San Marcos and work in Del Mar, so I'm close to most of the county sometime during a normal day). Or maybe Albert could be my rpg-book-mule even ;)

Albert - as long as that printer uses standard serial talk <sidetrack>[curse you wacom and apple desktop bus!!!! curse you to hell!!!]</sidetrack>, you can probably get one of those serial-USB adapters to make it work with both windows/mac over the standard usb connector, that might be the easiest. Or what Drew said, with the adding a NIC to it (especially if you want multiple computers to use it at once).

I'll bring it to work tomorrow. Usually park in P4 near Cox or I can bring in in to my office in the old administration building near the library. Let me know which is better and when. I am pretty open.
