Oh, confirmed. Just for formality's sake.
Sprokt, Gremlin Rogue Gremlins are a rare sight in Trollworld these days ever since Marionarsis – you may know him better as “the infamous sorcerer, necromancer, and butcherer of innocents†– started forcibly “recruiting†them into his employ. What he wants with them, none can say, but the general consensus is that he’s beefing up the defenses of his castle, Overkill, with a variety of deadly traps and mechanical terrors. As the only one of his kind remaining in the Thieves’ Guild of Gull, Sprokt’s services are in high demand. When it comes to matters of tinkering or artifice, no other kindred can match a gremlin for sheer natural aptitude, and Sprokt is no exception. For him, all but the finest of locks are child’s play; seeing a pressure plate and disabling it are nearly one and the same. All of this extra attention and work from the Guild has rather gone to the little fellow’s head. Jeweled rings decorate his clawed toes, smoked-glass spectacles hide his beady little eyes, and he’s even taken to wearing clothing—none but the the finest silks will do, of course (all custom-made, to boot, thanks to those vestigial wings). And now this superstar of the Guild has been called for yet another task. It’d better be worth his while.
H’yuq, Hyenakin Rogue H’yuq will never be arrested for being too smart. Unfortunately, that’s about the only crime the city guard couldn’t pin on this mischievous hyenakin. From petty theft to vandalism to the odd Guild-ordered hit, he’s no stranger to the wrong side of the law. Indeed, it’s hard to imagine H’yuq as anything but a crook. This may make him sound like a perfect fit for the Thieves’ Guild, but the trouble is half of the havoc H’yuq wreaks is, shall we say, rather improvisational, to say the least. His race’s ability to assume the form of a hyena makes him ideally suited for scouting missions, but he takes so much pleasure in making the world a more chaotic place no telling if he’ll come back with a map of the Duke’s house or just smear the walls of the place with mud and feces. Still, H’yuq’s good nature and infectious laugh are just too entertaining for Marek to simply dismiss him from the Guild (not to mention the exponentially greater levels of trouble he’d cause in Gull if left wholly to his own devices), so the solution, for the time being, at least, is to keep him occupied as much as possible and hope for the best.
Thanks, all, for coming out, and special thanks to Andy and Liz for hosting and the (as always) excellent food. The one-shot I run at OrcCon will be better thanks to your participation.
