Where the heck is our forum???? Anyway, I've noticed a couple references toward dates:
Originally founded by the human explorer Markus Lelenthy in 743,

By 1050, the port had expanded into a hub for trade and a stragetic point for controlling sea travel.

In 1218, he was invited to the Order of Reconciliation,

until becoming Periapt of the order in 1230.

during the Mambonic Purge of 1232

and was successful until his assassination in 1250,
We said that the Dragon Wars took place 500 years ago? What is the current date so we all have a basis before we get a completly jacked timeline.

From the looks of most of those dates, I would say 1700's to 1800's.

Lets try to not make this overly complex. The oldest date on that list is 1250, which is at least during the Dragon Wars according to BoC. So, given that that Dragon Wars took place around 500 years ago, that makes the current decade somewhere near 1750. For safety's sake, we could make the current year 1790.

He was a Tall Elf, I'm assuming he'd be using FA, the calendar of the First age ;)

I think it'd be best if we had a "common" calender just for refrence. So you can put down that something happened in the year 9 in orcish reckoning, but note that it's the year 1345 in common calender... we can add flavor, and not get headaches!

Yes that would be cool to have that flexibility. One of the voices or writters I am using is a Ogre Magi so that may be cool to refernce from their calendar

Should we add to this thread for dates used in our posts?

I don't know

That was the only date I used in any of my entries. Trying to be helpful.

Maybe we should do a timeline thread. Each entry could be a year, with a list of events in that year. The only problem is editing the posts after new scholar entries come up. Just an idea.

Good idea. Each of us could, alternatively, add any dates we use along with our citations.

When do we start on C ?
