I saw this on the Official ICE web page and thought it was kinda amusing.
not many ICE / Rolemaster players out there it seems, but check out the link, if anything, its a pretty good idea..

7 days of being trapped out at sea with a boat load of gamers? Have they actually done this successfully before?

Dear god. I can see it now. The ship burned down to the waterline, with "d20 suxx0rs" or "WotC 4eva" painted on whatever debris remains.

If this catches on, there will eventually be furry cruises. You have been warned.

There probably are. Please, please, let's not look.

Actually did a 'swing dance cruise' which was a lot of fun. There were classes and you could just dance, or you could just hang out on the ship. The problem I have with that is that's a lot of money to throw at just having a place to game :)

I don’t know about that. I’ve never gamed at a place with a chocoholic buffet

I think with the right group, you could have a helluva lot of fun. It's been ages since I've done the 3 day gaming bender thing.

Plus, they probably have booze on board.

If you were going to game for three days, why would you do it on a boat?

Exactly. I would rather do it at someone's house. It's hard to have pizza delivered on a cruise ship. And that is a staple for gaming.

Meh, true. The expense, combined with the fact that I can't -stand- quite a few of the people I meet at cons, means I'll never consider the cruse-con thing. 3 days with the nachos would drive me up the wall. Don't get me wrong, the majority of gamers are very nice, normal people. It's that 10% of unwashed n00bs that bother me.

Actually, I can't imagine where they'll find that many gamers with money.

That's why I asked if it'd been successfully done before... I mean, it's not like they can just sleep in the anime rooms on a cruise ship. :)
