Strange stuff. I wish the article went into what exactly they were using. I've heard of artificial hearts, but they didn't say that specifically. I wonder if it was an external thing like dialysis.

probably a heart/lung machine. that would be hellish hooked into that for 100+ days.

though I wonder if pig hearts could be stripped and used as frameworks for stem cell therapy treatments like this? would alleviate a lot of suffering and people dying from waiting for donor organs.
