2006 rpg-sandiego.org meetup details

by Wintermute
The 2006 rpg-sandiego.org meetup will be held on April 1st, starting at 11:00am. The meetup will be held at my place, where BBQ and drinks will be available. Bringing something to share is encouraged but far from required. Please RSVP to winter@rpg-sandiego.org for contact info and directions.

Due to some troubles last year, we will no longer be assigning players for games in advance. Instead, a number of games will be selected based on the number of people attending and the amount of players each GM is willing to run for. "Tickets" for the games will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis. There will be two play sessions, and each game should run about 5 hours, with a break between sessions for dinner.

Ok I think all the voting is complete. Can I get the official list of games to be played? I just want to get it down for the record. (I'm pretty sure you've all discussed this IRL anyway).

Thanks!

Sure, I suppose we can go ahead and make the results official.

Planescape: City of Doors
Etherscope
All Flesh Must Be Eaten: Senior Citizen Slaughter
Adventure!
Stardrive: Bounty Hunters
and last but not least, InSpectres.

GMs, if you don't mind, please PM me with the maximum number of players you'd like in your games.

Wow. I want to play 3 out of the 6. The odds of having fun are great! :)

Well I got you beat...I want to play 6 out of 6. That's a 100% approval of kick anus games I can join. So stand back folks I'm the guy with the Subway sandwhich and I know how to use it.

I'll be making six pregen PC's for each of my games just in case, but I'm wondering if we want to limit sign-up based on the number of attendees. In other words, if we have fifteen people show up, and six go to one game, six go to another game, then there'll only be three people for the third game. Know what I mean, Vern? We should balance it somehow.

how are we suppose to know how many are showing up?

People can say they're showing but yet not show. I think if there is 15 then it should be broken down to 5 in each. 10 players mean that only 2 games. The run off games should probably have the left overs

Are you being funny? Can't tell.

I just don't want anyone to feel short-changed.

Nope. Was in a meeting and that was the shortest way to get the point across. It's usually best not to make rules unless rules are necessary. I don't want to have to play a game that doesn't particularly interest me just because the numbers don't suit someone. I imagine others might feel similarly.

I'll be there, and I may be bringing a friend heretofore unknown to most of you. I'll have to talk to him more to see if he really can/wants to attend, but he was interested last Sunday, so... there.

Whatever you like. I'm partial to Newcastle, but I think there's still a case of it in the beer fridge, and I'll probably get more tonight. :)

[edit: Maybe we should do black & tans in honor of Smartmonkey, haha]
