So here we have Shao Kang-Xi's four finest students, brought together again by circumstance after a long separation. Twenty years ago, each blamed the others for the downfall of the Shao clan, and have since gone on to become powerful men in their own right. Now Kang-Xi lies dead, and, in accordance with his dying wish, they have returned to pay their respects, despite their intense hatred of one another, and choose one among them who will have the honor of rebuilding the Shao clan and serving as its sifu.
