Well, it turns out that you need Windows NT or higher to play this game, so that leaves me out. :(
What in the world are you running? How can you play modern games on it?
I'm running Windows ME, because I don't have anything else to load on my computer newer than that.
CoH runs just fine on it.

ME? The bastard cousin of Windows operating systems that doesn't get invited to the family reunions? I think I might have an extra 2k or XP license sitting around somewhere, just let me know if you want it.

Well, if it's any consolation, I can't get the damn .exe file to run. It just locks everything up like it's thinking real hard, but not doing anything. So, I give up.
Edit: Nevermind. Apparently I just needed to let it sit there thinking for 5 minutes. That'll teach me to expect instant gratification from a computer program.

Ok, my initial reaction to the game:
Eh, it's ok.
The controls are a little weird for me. You use the same letters to move as in CoH, but the turn/shuffle buttons are reversed, so I kept shuffling left and right instead of turning. And when you turn, it's like you throw yourself into the turn, so your body turns too far if you hold the button down too long. You might be able to adjust that, but I didn't see it.
The character creation process is very D&D. But the costume customization is severely lacking. I made a barbarian, and I was able to customize him very well from the neck up. But his body is a standard skinny dude in clothes that look spraypainted on.
Overall, the graphics are pretty good, but the control and the need to double-click everything kinda throw me off.
Oh well. I'm off to play CoH until Dungeon Runners comes out.
That makes me feel so much better about World of Warcraft. ^^
Yeah, from what I've seen so far (including some futzing with the actual game), WoW still pwns DnD Online.

Only if you're really into making leather bags.

ugh....crafting. The biggest time sink in any MMO. WoW's was the absolute worst because there was no real point to being a crafter except for clothmakers. Any actual armor & weapons being made were crap compared to stuff you'd find off any normal enemy, let alone the dungeon creatures.
Clothmakers only had it slightly better because people needed the backpacks. Oh, enchanters too....but that was probably the most expensive of all of them. So so soooooo glad I quit WoW.
I was only talking about the dancing. Even the lamest character dances in WoW are better than the ones we see in that video. Making the monsters dancewould be pretty sweet, though.
I really would've preferred the dances in WoW be like those of DDO. At least they dance like they're drunk...in WoW they dance like they're whores.
If the Night Elf girls hadn't been given the superslut dance, then the Alliance wouldn't have had nearly the amount of gold beggars, 12 year old (mentally) players, and other craptastic jewels that we were saddled with.
