I am putting together a couple of Heavy Gear Tactical sessions if anybody wants to play... still in the early planning stages though. If anyone is interested let me know.

I'm in.

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down. I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat. The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

I'd love to throw down in HG Tac. Can something be better in life than battling mecha? Besides sex, I submit to you that there can not.

I concur. Mecha stir the soul.

I would suggest just getting about 10 of every one. That way you will just be ready.

Beside helping to support DP9 :D

I've supported DP9 by purchasing every single Jovian Chronicles book they've put out, and I own 2 fleets of JC miniatures w/ exos and fighters. Not to mention the HG books I have. Dammit, I'm tired of supporting DP9 (kinda), I just wanna kill!!!!

Hell I am in your camp as well...I have all the JC books(1st & 2nd) and all the HG books (1st, 2nd & 3rd edition), new tribe 8 players guide, all Core Comand stuff, Core rules (reg and deluxe), Mecha Compendium (Reg and deluxe) and about 30 HG mini's (NOT painted)...and what gets me the most about all this stuff is that the quality is steadily going down hill since they started this movie crap/action team. :x

It is good to know I am not the only DP9 fanboy (not counting J of course)

Eh, I never touched Core Command....I was only into the wargaming of DP9 because everything was well thought out. CC just seemed rushed, or an attempt to make a super-munch game. I'll stick to Rifts for that. Tribes 8, I have no idea what it was about, but the books looked to similar to Vampire, and I avoid that like the plague.

Core Command was intended to be over the top. It was all part of the plan... it was suppose to have a Galaxy Rangers/Lensman feel. Tribe 8 is post-apocolyptic fantasy meets Hellraiser and Dances with Wolves. T8 is definately better than CC but neither are tactical games.

Actually, I called Robert DuBois about that a few months ago after I listen to a variety of complaints. I offered to look the final proofs over for any errors. When that starts happening. I may need some help
