Are we going to game tonight? I'm down for some Dark Sun or oneshot if we lack the players. Let me know what the plan is.

It is but looking up and deciding on things like feats and powers can be a pain in the butt. Best to either filter to the PHB or just use the books then the program.

Some Dark Sun stuff:

- It has been about 6 months since the fall of the Mindflayer (mind flare?) or about 15 months since the fall Kalak.

- An army is preparing to march on Tyr. They call themselves "The Army of Free Tyr" claiming to liberate the people from the Tyrant Tithian. There are many rumors that the army is being supported by a Sorcerer King or two and nobles within the city of Tyr.

- A number of nobles lead by house Daram have allied against Tithian and have built a big enough power-base to be a threat to his rule.

- Bassalla and Sine left for The Monastery of Enduring Balance.

- K'thak had two close friends both belonging to his pack. Mal'K Gri Gri, a clutch mate who was frequently jealous of K'thak prestige but still close friend. Sh'Rok, Mal'K mate who was beyond beautiful (she had quite the abdomen). The three were best friends but both Sh'Rok and Mal'K disappeared during the event at the archway.

- Krill is now an official Templar.

BTW, Borders has the (now out-of-print) Dark Sun Campaign Guide for 20% off. You guys have played it -- would you say it's worth getting?

Yeah, I checked that after I asked. Surprising that Borders doesn't have better deals, considering they're bankrupt and closing 30% of their stores. Pretty much everything in there today was just 20% off.

Not super surprising. The first thing most stores do when liquidating on that scale is discount from the MSRP, rather than what they would have been selling stuff for. Ridiculous, but people lap that shit up for some reason.

You missed out on a Cthulhu Dark playtest. The good news is we still have one session of DS left, so Albert's last game won't be chargen for Savage Alera.

It went well. Great little pick-up game. One of my favorite moments was when I fell backwards into a basement and broke my leg. I ended up roleplaying my broken-leg a lot more than I do in other games complete with descriptions of Mord's characters having to help me limp around.

I think there was something about there being no tracking or consequences of taking damage that made feel obligated to replay it out.

The only real consequence is changing what's humanly possible. A GM, could rule that fleeing from a monster with a broken leg isn't humanly possible (Especially with the bone showing). Unless your job title is athletic in nature, you're stuck with just your insanity die.
