So I'm watching maybe my 3rd or 4th episode of Atlantis and I'm wondering if anyone else finds it particularly cheesy? It all seems a bit too clean and simple for my tastes. Did SciFi clone Stargate SG1 but miss out on the subtle details?

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down. I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat. The two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

SG-1 is pretty cheesy too. I happen to like Atlantis, but I think what's missing is the team chemestry that existed in SG-1.
