(July 10th)

The crew spends the greater part of an hour sifting through the wreckage. The explosion caused by the mix of the Wayfinder's fireball and kegs of gunpowder left much in ruin. Hopes of finding the Heart within the driftwood dwindle quickly as more of the remains are claimed by the sea depths than what can be brought aboard. All is not lost however, for it seems that the Krewe did have a hold full of goods. Through some back-aching hard labor and many a bottle of rum, your crew manages to secure 3 crates of goods with minimal damage.

Crate 1: A greatsword, common in nature except for the handle which is fashioned like a set of tentacles wrapped around the sword and crawling up the blade. The care for which this sword is packaged indicates it to be of great value.

Crate 2: A book and a variety of strange components. The book is made of dragon- scale for its covers and pages are fashioned from leathery wings. The writings inside are done in a silver ink which glow red under the full moon. The crate also contains a jar of snake heads, some charred bones of an elf or human, a dull grey heart larger than that of a human fist and a leg of what appears to be a giant spider.

Crate 3: There are a number of chunks of a strange metal of crimson hue that is hard as steel. In addition, the crate also contains one chunk of a dull black metal with silvery specks.

The other crates contain a number of paintings and pottery which were either damaged by the explosion or the salty waters.

As you drift towards the island, you come to realize the extent of damage caused by the seawrack. In addition to the approximate 1200 gp in damages to the ship, 1/5 of the cargo (by value) was either damaged or went overboard as the ship was ramming about.
Some people are like Slinkies ... Not really good for anything...... But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
