Okay Guys,

I am bored at work and was wondering... if you had to make a serious super hero right now at this moment for an RPG... what would he be? Here is the catch, no game terms can be used in the description. So here is what I want..... Background (how they got his powers, etc), personality, motivations for being a super hero and whatever else you can think of. Just have fun with it.

Later,

Max Withers was born in 1925. Upon reaching puberty, he discovered his natural senses became far sharper than normal men and gained superhuman balance and agility. This was coupled with a super-accelerated ability to heal. He kept his abilities to himself, and privately veiwed himself as a freak. When the US entered WWII he joined the Army and used his abilities to become the most capable soldier his superiors had ever seen. This earned him quick promotion. During the Allied push into Berlin Max was riddled with machinegun fire, enough to kill any man, which it apparently did. After the medic declared the trooper dead the impossible happened. Max sat up confused, said "Give me my gun" and returned to battle. Though amazed, his platoon followed him back into battle.

This attracted the attention of a general charged with directing super-secret missions. After the war was won, Withers was examined and trained in special ops. During the cold war Withers was sent on several daring solo missions into the Eastern Bloc and territories held by Red China. All were successful. The super-agent became the single most effective operative in US history, though his existence was kept secret. He was given the codename "Agent America".

It was at this time that Agent discovered he had stopped aging. At age 40 he appeared the same as he had at age 30, not one new wrinkle, gray hair or ailment. Physically he was the upward limit of human perfection. He had died several times, returning to life each time. While this made him a definete superhuman, it alienated Withers, making him not feel as if he were part of the human race. This was componded by the nightly dreams showing the faces of the men he had killed.

In the early 1990's, after the fall of the iron curtain, Withers fled America. He had killed too many men, seen the laws and ideals of his beloved country broken too many times in the name of national security. He wandered Asia anonymously and made his way to a Tibetian monestary. He was accepted by the monks, who immediately perceived him to be the superbeing he was. He was tought meditation and after some years acheived some inner peace. He was also taught how to fight using a chain as a form of further perfecting his body.

He remained with the monks until 2001. When Islamic terrorists attacked the World Trade Center and Pentagon Withers found he could not resist his natural feelings to serve his country. He journeyed to washinton DC and was immediately arrested as a derserter. It took the intervention of Colonel Marx, CO of the top-secret Department S to clear the charges. Agent America was born again.

But he is a different Agent. Armed only with Chain which he can spin for deflecting bullets and thrown weapons, use as a means for swinging from place to place, entangle ad subdue his opponents, and as a devestating HTH and short-range weapon, Agent America switches into a dark mindset while on missions. This is so extreme that it borders on multiple personalities, Agent America being almost a dfferent man than Max Withers. Perhaps this is the only way he can cope with the pain and destruction he must deal out to defend his country.

Designers note  : There's an obvious superhero archetype here. Though a dark version.

Ok on the spot here we go....

Casady Albright was named by the nurse in the delivery room when his mom's life slipped away. His father was nameless among a face of men you see on the streets walking about on a busy day. Cassady lived with aunt Janey. Janey never had children and her life was not prepared for his arrival. The partys never ended and the people in his life not permanent. Aunt Jane became temporary as well. Then came Granny Hazel and Granpa Stew. Then just Grandpa Stew. Then came the friends. Then the streets.
During that time Cassady experienced physical, emotional and sexual abuse. There was more but I'll keep it simple since it was all a secret. Neglect seemed a constant when there wasn't anything happening for fear and in the lonliness only fear was the company. In that fear he learned he could only trust himself and that person was dead. There is a certain liberating feeling of having no value attatched to existence.

You know in a cruel world you are either the victim or the victimizer. Cassady started small with little creatures like snails and flies. Then moved up to house pets. Kids younger than him followed by kids his age. Women and men started with Janey, then Granny Hazel and eventually Granpa Stewie. In Granpa Stewies last breath Cassady learned that this whole journey had been part of a family tradition and that he has just mastered all that is needed not to be a victim anymore. Cassady found drugs a great way to manipulate himself and others.

Cassady became a great lawyer. During times when things weren't going well, like doing poorly on tests or a judge giving an unfavorable ruling, he found serial killing a great stress reliever. Cassady did not play well with others and never really got along with others. Getting to know people was a painful chore for him albeit a necessary evil when you wanted to work someone over. He joined a local Aryan Nation group for social support but eventually they seem to have limitations in their views. It was during this time that he came across folks with super powers. One of which, named Americana Man, broke up a rally where a teenager, identified as being gay, was being lynched.

Now as general rule Cassady believes that if some can kick your butt..... they will. So after a month of torturing a couple in their home, Cassady devised a plan to kill all the super hero's in the city. He spent over 10 years researching myths, science and lore to find a source to gain extraudinary powers. He had found a waterfall gateway in the deep amazons that was rumored to grant energies of the spirits that watch over you. To his dismay the waterfall did not demonstrate any immediate effects. So he went for his more scientific option and had certain super serums injected into him to increase his strength and speed which also fell short to his expectations.

He stole a beta version of a military exoskeleton and was caught by Soldier X who was tipped off by a disgruntled Aryan Nation who had just realized that Cassady had embezzelded and probably killed several folks in the party. While being cornered by Soldier X his latent powers came forth. The orgins of which is still under specualtion since he had done so much to himself in the attempt to gain super powers. His flesh absorbed the exoskeleton and then Soldier X, thus gaining his regenrative ability and power puch. An experimental 50 caliber electro magnetic machine gun also got absorbed into his right arm and fires from his palm.

Cassady then began his killing spree on the super hero's of the city. This also included super villians as well since he didn't descriminate. As fate would have it his last victim was an immortal Buddist monk named Karma Boomerang. After putting the monk through several months of moral depravity and torture he was dipped into a vat of acid so he would be unable to regenerate or have any source for his immortal essence to collect itself. What Cassady did not realized was that without a designated vessel for his essence to collect in the monk could freely choose from any creature around. Since the monks essence was stronger than Cassady's his essence dominated. Karma also invited 3 other spirits of people Cassady killed to house in his body: Weapon X, his aunt Janey and Mary(house wife & PTA mother). Once a month Karma will invite some one else to give one of the other 3 a break. The spirits take form of faces on the chakra points in the body. Cassady only has independent control of his mouth to talk unless the spirits allow him to move as he wishes with his other parts.

Karma now works with Cassady to steer him toward the way of good. He has assumed the position of super hero in the city. Albeit he is one with many enemies who have not forgiven his past deeds. To them he is known as the 'Unforgiven." To those he has saved and who have looked beyond his past trail he is "4 Given faces of Cassady."

Ren knew nothing of his life anymore. He only knew The Complex. His past is a haze. Spotty images of steamy jungles and fighting.

But now The Complex was his home. The scientists and the lab technitians were his family. And The General was his father. He spent most of his days in the Testing Chamber. He knew that he was faster, stronger and more aware than those around him. The scientists wanted nothing more than to test him. Push him beyond his limits. And he reveled in it.

Finally a day came when he overheard a conversation between The General and the lead researcher.

"The Feline Project is a go. Prepare the formula for mass production." The General handed the scientist an envelope. "These are the orders for the destruction of Specimens A and B. Specimen C is to be put in suspension for future testing."

Something inside him kicked on. There was a feeling of doom on his mind, but not for himself. He knew instinctively that there were others like him. So, later that day, when the technitians were leading him to a previously unknown chamber, he made his break. Using his heightened abilities, he easily overcame his escorts, and fled down the hallway, following an instinct that was drawing him on.

Soon, he came to a hall that ended in a 2 doors. One was marked "A" and the other "B." Using a pass key he had stolen, he opened door A. Inside was a man. But he was not a true man. His bulk was massive, and his skin was covered in orange and black striped fur. The man looked at Ren and something in their minds clicked. With the pass key, Ren freed the large man from his electronic bonds, and the two moved to the B door. Inside was another man. This one was larger than Ren, but still appeared human, except for the fangs, and clawed hands. Again, an instinctive urge took them all, and he freed specimen B.

An alarm began to sound. Ren knew they needed to leave, but he had to figure this out. They stole through the Complex, and found the main computer room. He found that accessing the files was easier than he had imagined it would be, drawing on something hidden in his past. Soon, he had almost all of the data on the Feline Project. But soldiers were now arriving, and it was time to go. He grabbed a laoptop, and the CDs with the project information, and they ran.

The trio made short work of the troops responding to the alarm. They were soon free of the complex, and running through a forest of redwoods. All three were running faster than any human could, and they never tired.

Eventually, the trio made their way to Seattle, where they set up camp in the forest. Ren had decided that since he had the most human appearance, he would be the one to make contact with the outside world. Having gained a certain amount of knowledge from the Laptop, he knew they would need money, shelter and food. And he knew how to get it.

His memories returning in spots, Ren figured out that money would be best gotten if it were untracable. So, with the help hof his "brothers" he raided drug houses robbed criminals. There was a certain satrisfaction in depriving these scum of their livlihood, and on a few occasions, their lives.

Now with enough money to support them for a long time, Ren made a decision. He had heard of superheroes in costumes fighting crime. So, he took the name Feline, devised a costume, and began haunting the city at night, searching for criminals, and always on the look out for more money to take from them. His brothers helped, as they were able to move freely in the shadows. The large man they called Tigrin, and his strength was that of ten men. The other they called Wildcat, and though he had a bloodlust that needed to be kept in check, he was an invaluable tool in their own private war.

Note: This was actually an idea for a comic book I had come up with in the early 90's. I don't think this version is as good as the one I had back then, but it's the best I could come up with on the spot. :D
