Gateway 2010

Post by cczernia »

Gateway is coming up in a few weeks. Who plans on going? What do you plan on running?

Also, anyone know about Socal Smackdown. Appears to be another gaming convention at the same time (kind of annoying). Seems to focus more on mini gaming and Magic.

I'm going, natch -- running two sessions of Leftovers and a session of FATE Supers, although I'm not sure when. Schedule's going to be tight, that's for sure. There are a Star Frontiers game and a S7S game I really want to get in on, so I'll have to work around those.

Am I mistaken, or have most of our games filled up?

My games have no pre-reg, which may be a good thing as they still haven't fixed the issue with them both being scheduled in the same slot...

Have you emailed Mike Fryer about it?

Well i'm just gonna run them both simultaneously. Or possibly as a mash-up.

Yeah, pretty awesome this time around. I probably should have mashed-up my two games though.

Had a great time but it doesn't feel complete without Red Robin :frown:

And as always I walk away feeling like I have to revise my method of running games. For Orccon it will be a Sat evening game and a Sun afternoon game.

We had to compensate for your absence there -- Sam took it upon himself to do the Favorite Game of the Con survey.

I'll tell you what's made scheduling easier for me: running a game on Friday. However, I understand that isn't practical for everyone (or even most people).

Always good to see you fellers from Dead Gamers as well!

This time around, I can say that all the games I played and/or ran went very well. Plus bonus - Dominion!

It was good seeing you guys and I got one of the strangest compliments in Steve's Unknown Armies game. One of the woman who was playing my character's ex-wife had the motivation to cast a spell to drag my character into hell. She said I made it very easy for her to hate that character.

Carrie, the one who gave you that compliment has been through a bad break up, so she knows what she's talking about. You must have hit some nerve with her.
