I have a few friends with wildly conflicting schedules who want to game. Since we can't all get together, I'm putting out The Call. Maybe we can get a few different groups formed....

We're looking for Hackmaster, BTVS, Startrek TNG, DC Universe, BESM, Call of Cthulhu d20, and a whole mess of World of Darkness games. Let's see, hmmm........

Mage
Werewolf
Hunter
Demon
Changeling
Wraith
KOTE
Orpheus
Mummy
Adventure!
Dark Ages anything
Heck, even vampire...

We are willing - shucks, we're eager - to learn new game systems, so bring it on. Anyone looking for game should email me at Mage3070@yahoo.com or PM me. Or just post here. Give me a tentative schedule, and I'll try to arrange something with others.

Game on.

Skyman, any more room in your CoC d20 group? I've GMed it a few times but never had the chance to play.

Sure we run episodic adventures and it would be great to have you join. We're currently in the 1930's. Players are trying out the archeologist angle this time....finding secrets that should not be known in the ruins of the old ones. The party is based in Arkham. Some have connections with Miskatonic U and a secret occult society called the Eye of Amara. Think Indiana Jones meets Cthulhu. "Don't open your eyes Mariam!" We will be meeting the Monday after next on May 10 since next weeks is our groups break to play Orpheus. We usually get there by 6:30. We haven't started playing with the new characters so don't worry. In fact, if we did, it wouldn't matter anyways since we are episodic game and new players can join at any of the meetings. PM or post if you have any questions

Yes the cool thing as that many of us who've played in this campaign for a while have retired our old characters (who've been getting up there in level) and are starting out with all new ones. So it's a perfect time to join.

hehehehe....kung fu. We had one kung fu school in my hometown, but since the teacher running the school didn't have enough students to afford a rentable business area, he made a deal with a local Chinese restaurant that had some space in the back. They did some renovation (installed lacquered wooden floors, removed about 4 booths and tables, painted the walls white, and installed 1 ginormous mirror on the wall. Needless to say, it was one of the coolest schools I ever practiced martial arts in. It was hilarious to be going through tornado kicks and learning the other flying kicks while people orded moo shoo pork and orange chicken no more than 15 feet away from you. There were no partitions so people would just watch us train while they ate. For weapon katas we went out into the rear parking lot. Learning sword and staff there was very cool. The whole thing was like something out of an old kung fu flick.....students learning kung fu in a chinese restaurant. I went back home and found he had finally moved to his own building, but oh the memories.

That is cool! Kung Fu and Chinese food 10 feet away to eat after working out.

I have been looking for a pure instructor since I was about 10 years old. I don't like th e commercialism of modern academies, and I have no desire to fight K1 or mixed tournamnets. i apologize for the hijacking, but would love it if you could e-mail me and give me some contact information. Thank you.

Sure, I'll email you if you want, but there is really no secret about it. Victor teaches on Monday and Wednsday nights at a Catholic school - I think - at Hawk St. and Stanton Dr. It's in Mission Hills a block from the library. I was out of the class for awhile due to my work schedule, but I'm back this week. He is sometimes late, but normally one or more of his students show up to work out on their own anyway. I will definitely be there. We normally practice for about an hour and a half or so. The school is called St. Vincent's or something like that. There's a 3 bus stop right there. Victor doesn't charge anything, but he won't teach you if you have an abusive attitude or disrespect him.
