The fundamental purpose of small arms projectiles is to first penetrate any armor and second destroying equipment and disabling personnel. If we limit our discussion to solid projectiles then the mechanics of armor penetration and equipment destruction are the same. This anti-material mechanic is us...

I'm open to changing the combat rules but I think everyone should remember that it goes both ways. As such I would expect to have some member of the party killed or maimed within a couple of sessions. This is how it should be since I'm not very fond of clubing baby seals.

But what could you load on a human sized power armor? I think the best bet would be something like a Landmate from Appleseed, or a mech from Gasraki. Small enough to not be a walking target, large enough to mount vehicular weapons and not be KD'd by recoil or have them overbalance the unit. Imagine...

For a software solution give bsplayer a try (http://www.bsplayer.com) Gotetsu.

It looks like Square has come a long way since FF:Spirits Within. The human animation is quite a bit more natural and fluid. Overall its just stunning.

So I'm watching maybe my 3rd or 4th episode of Atlantis and I'm wondering if anyone else finds it particularly cheesy? It all seems a bit too clean and simple for my tastes. Did SciFi clone Stargate SG1 but miss out on the subtle details?
