Re: Hyph 2013 Turnout & Vote Thread

Keep in mind that Comic Fest (http://www.sdcomicfest.org/) is Oct 4th through the 6th, while Conjecture (http://2013.conjecture.org/) is October 18th through the 20th. I plan on being at both this year.

BTW: Shared with G+ and posted at the Science Fiction and Fantasy San Diego meetup board. Just have a few question for you; what's the cost? Does HypherCon have a web page or site?

Re: Hyphen-Con 2013:: Pimp Your Game!

OKay, I'll submit:

System: Mythus Prime (easy to learn)

Situation: Some one is spying on your rooms at the Inn. Rats, or something else. Can you discover what, what (if anything) is behind them? And what lies beyond them.

For two to four players, with rules taught and session run by a flexible GM. Pre made characters.

[DownTown]Looking for Group

It's been too long, I need some serious (frivolous works too) killing time. Or some hard core politicking if that's what you're into.

Pluses: Started way long ago. Knew Gary Gygax. Played a variety of games. I listen.

Minuses: Haven't played in a long time. Knew Gary Gygax. Take public transit.

Work arounds: Can get to most places on a weekend afternoon. Can sleep on the couch, even at my age. Have substituted for cat beds and dog warmers on a number of occasions.

Background

Vargaard---an analog of our North America---is a continent on the world of Ærth. Ærth being where our adventures take place. Ærth itelf is a toroid, what some call a hollow world. Which isn't all that unusual in Ærth's universe, for most every body large enough to have a spherical shape has a hekalite body at the center where a core would be in our universe.

It is this hekalite sun (for it produces heat and light as well as heka) that makes the world hollow, for it's reverse gravity property forces matter away and thus creates the hollow space between it and the surface of the inner world. The nigh ubiquitous presence of hekalite suns throughout Ærth's universe does a lot to explain the highly magical nature of the realm.

This is where, on a broad scale, the Gnomes Along the Mohawk campaign will take place. More information coming up.

Bad News

The route 30 heading downtown goes close to Fiesta Island (you can see Fiesta Island close), but there's no bus stop there. So I'll wish you all a good time and that nothing important falls in the fire.

Gnomes Along the Mohawk

There's skull-duggery in the Smokies, gnomes smuggling copper {copper?}, and the A-tlan-tlans are seeking out a long lost shrine.

Old game, old setting, new adventures. Experience not necessary, rules taught, combat deadly and magic plentiful.

Looking for players, have place to play if you don't mind coming downtown. Can go to another location if that's your wish. Email for further information.

Thanks, much appreciated.

I'm also posting DE material at my blog, Mythusmage Opines. It's very much a work in progress.

Besides Dragon Earth: A Distant Mirror I'm scheduled to run a Ptolus game at Conjecture, and I'm willing to run games using Mythus, Dragon Earth: Aftermath, and I'd like to try out the Osric rules.

In addition, I'm available as a player. So if you're getting a group together, or you have a slot open, you can drop me a line.

BTW, I'm also guest-blogging at Protein Wisdom under "Mythusmage".

On the Waterfront

Murder, intrigue, and a stolen baby dragon. London's waterfront has become even more dangerous than before, and even worse, the Huns are in town.

A Dragon Earth adventure (and playtest opportunity) for 2 or more players.

d20 based system.

Ptolus Game

Have the book, want to run adventures in it. Contact me through email or PM.

I'd put in some shivery neat stuff in at this point, but my brain is starting to obsess about supper instead. Which gives me an idea...

Your boss wants cracked ankheg; all the nearby taverns, inns, and ordinaries are closed. Can you find a good cracked ankheg at 11:30 at night? A Ptolus adventure for 4 to six characters of 1st level.
