Good/reliable/safe bittorrent or other download site?

Since Demonoid shut down, I've been looking for a safe, reliable, and well indexed bittorrent (or other download) site with which to pursue illegal downloading activities. My main criterion for judging the site is virus free-ness, followed by download availability, with amount of seeds being third. Private trackers are preferred, especially if you can invite me. I'm a good sharer.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks.

Re: Boardgamer Wanted

Here's what we'll do. I'll give you the game. You'll try and play it one time. Then you'll give it to someone else, like I did. Otherwise, you'll die within seven days of playing it. That's how this game works.

PM/email me so we can arrange it. I really don't want to drive all the way down to Chula Vista, though, as it is far and I already ate at Aqui es Texcoco a week ago and don't need to go back yet.

Re: Boardgamer Wanted

I used to game with some military guys in that area.

Anyway, I have a complete, played once game of Arkham Horror I could donate to you guys, if you want to come get it from me sometime. I live in OB, so if we could meet somewhere closer to me, that'd be great for me giving away free stuff.

I think playing Arkham Horror is worse than the Holocaust :peep:, so consider that before you accept my offer. Fair warning.

How's this store? It seems like a weird location for this type of store, but you can't complain about any store being a block away from BLAH and Mariposa Ice Cream.

Re: Best Wings

I just got an email from the board saying I'm watching this topic, and a new post was added. Now, assuming that I actually decided to watch a topic about wings where we discussed diarrhea (which I assure you I did not), and that I have the board email me about this (which I am not sure if I did), it still is November 16th, 2012, and the topic was last replied on May 22, 2009. So.. yeah, the board is having a heart attack? :owned:

Just a heads up. Here's the text:

Custom LEGO piece, designs, etc.

FYI, several companies sell custom lego pieces, to enhance your LEGO experience. Enjoy.

Brick Arms - custom LEGO weapons, including fantasy weapons (e.g. assault phaser from Star Trek or The Needler from Halo)
http://brickarms.com/

The Little Arms Shop - more custom weapons

Minifig World - sells everyone elses stuff

Lego DESIGNbyME - download LEGO software, make a custom design (or modify a template), and then purchase it from LEGO. You can also design the packaging. I think they have another, similar thing called LEGO Factory.

I didn't want to give my opinion until someone else did.

I really like the setting that they've presented, and that they've made such an effort to preserve the core of Dark Sun, especially the no divine rule. I also like how they've done their best to incorporate the new races in a way that makes sense.

Also, with the new roles in 4E, you can actually play a DS game without a cleric for the first time ever. This is excellent.

I like that a 1st level monster has an encounter power that can drop a PC in one shot. That's very Dark Sun.

I don't like how every PC they've made is a Preserver, and how easy it is not to defile. The point of arcane magic is that it involves defiling. It used to be really hard to be a preserver, and that was the point. Now every goon wizard PC is a member of a secret preserving order. BS. Just play a templar.

I wish that the Campaign Guide had more information about the world. They describe all the city states of Tyr, but provide little background information about the history of the world or about The Dragon.

I like the idea of the GMs nominating two players from their game, and then those nominated players having a dice-off. The top 4 get a prize.

And maybe the GMs have their own dice-off, and the top 1 gets a prize.

The dice-off should be an interesting one, and here's my proposition:

1) The host of the dice game rolls 1d4, 3d6, 1d8, 1d10, 1d12, and 1d20. The dice results are added together for a total value (8-72, average 40).

2) Each participant roles the same dice, and their goal is to get as close to the total value without going over.

3) We judge the winners (1st-4th) based on their rolls.

4) If too many rolls are higher than the host rolls (and therefore losers), we give prizes to the winners that exist and then have another round with just the remaining loser players.

This should be pretty fast.

I just read it, and it turns out they removed the level up system entirely. Also, instead of power choices, every race/class has just one power and the character gets access to it.

So there's no level up at all. Weird. I like all of the other changes.

I hope they changed the "level up" system.

For the unfamiliar, the only way to get new powers (level up) is to be at death's door for a long time, where if you take a hit, you die. Then if you manage to get past that without dying, you somehow level up and start over.

The problems are:

1) you can only get to near death by failing at your rolls. So if you roll well, you will never level up. There's little reward for success.

2) You can never heal, because that goes against your need to be injured and at death's door to level up.

3) Certain classes and races have abilities that negate damage. Using these races and classes gives you a huge advantage for level up, as you can take a hit near death and not die, letting you have a much better chance of leveling vs. the guy who takes a hit near death and does die.

4) Similar to 3, certain people can heal. Not as good as 3, but still very useful for leveling.

5) Some race/class combos have both 3 AND 4, making that character the leveling machine. Others have neither.

Destroy the Jormungandr!

DnD 4E - Eberron

As special agents of Droaam, the three Queens have assigned you a special mission - to destroy a new weapon rumored to be on the Brelish fortress, Argonth. This is a suicide mission from which you likely will not return, but the fate of the nation (and maybe the world) is dependent on your success.

A quest for several 9th level kickass adventurers. Pre-gen characters, monster races, various interesting classes.

I liked the movie (saw it opening day for $5.50), despite all its faults.

The two things that bothered me were the racism robots (they were ridiculous) and the level of humor in the movie, which was consistently aimed at 13 year olds. The first one didn't have so much crude humor, especially dialogue such as Sam's mom joking about when he got "his cherry popped" recently. Come on. It was waaaaaay too low brow, base humor.

It amazes me since the original show came out when I was a kid, and anyone who was 13 wasn't even born before the show went off the air. I didn't know they were aiming their humor at the demographic who watched that dinosaur transformer show that sucked in the late 90's.

Actually, I was suggesting getting rid of Deep Roots altogether and switching to an encounter power (minor) that gives you Reach +1 until the end of your next turn.

Instead of focusing on their tree rooty-ness, you'd be focusing on their tree branchy-ness. Reach 2 as a permanent ability is really powerful, and I don't think any playable race has that.

The issue with Deep Roots is that is very Dwarf-y, is only slightly weaker than the Dwarven Defender Paragon Path level 16 power (MP), is equal to or better than a Fighter level 6 daily utility (Rock Steady - MP), and may also offer competition versus a Fighter level 16 daily utility (Immovable Mountain - MP). You want the treeman to feel different than a dwarf, and also not have a superpower.

Another option (although this may be an Orc or half-orc power) is a Resist damage encounter ability, like Resist 5 all (except Fire) until the end of your next turn, increases to 10 at 11 and 15 at 21. That would focus on their barkyness.

Or, better, maybe a Treeman gets to pick one of the three at character creation. That way, they could be either a really rooty, extra barky, or extra branchy treeman, depending on how the player feels. I would say it should be permanent, not changeable each day, because that overlaps the upcoming WotC treeman in PHB3.

Also, the +3 Fort feat pretty much steps on Great Fortitude, also Paragon Tier, also not stackable, and makes Great Fortitude useless.

Finally, are Trees perceptive? It's a tree. You could focus on their "deep roots" by giving them +2 History.

To clarify about the AC bonus:

A +1 AC bonus is perfect for Paragon Tier, as there are several feats (all tied to armor) that give +1 bonuses to AC, depending on the armor you are wearing.

However, they are all feat bonuses. And feat bonuses do not stack. So there is no reason a TreeMan who wears armor would ever take the conditional Armor Bark feat, when he could have a permanent +1 feat bonus to AC from the PHB. The PHB feat is superior.

I would recommend for Super Bark something similar to Scion of the Gods for Tieflings (FRPG), where they get +1 Fort and +1 Will from a feat.

Also, they are really like dwarves. Instead of slow movement, maybe they can extend their reach, like with long branches?
