Pulp heroes in the 1930s
Anybody up for a game where you play pulp-style heroes in the 1930s?
Examples would be Doc Savage, The Avenger, The Shadow, The Green Hornet, The Spider, and their ilk. Dick Tracy, The Phantom, and even very early Batman would be similar in style and scope. Or if you've ever read the "Watchmen" comic book, just take out Doctor Manhattan and everybody else would fit right in.
I'll be using the "Justice Inc." game, which is basically Champions/Hero System but adapted to the setting: not really any super powers available, maybe a gadget or two, maybe one hero would have learned some mind trick in Tibet.
The system is very fast to learn and I've read upwards of 50 pulp novels featuring these types of characters so plots will not be a problem.
Don't even need that many players.

Lucha Libre Hero
Anyone up for a Lucha Libre Hero game? I just got thru reading a terrific reference book about the luchador movies from Mexico and have seen a handful as well, and then came across hero System's Lucha Libre Hero RPG...would love to play this. Best of all, it wouldn't even require many players since most of the luchadores work solo or in small teams of 2-3.

Champions RPG
Anyone up for Champions, the super hero RPG? I picked up a nice cheap beat-up copy of Champions from 1982, plus 2 supplements, and I'm dying to try it out.
Since the game is from 1982, I'm setting the campaign (if we get past the 1st scenario) in 1982 so we can have some nice Bronze Age comic booky fun. It's morning in America!

Marvel Super Heroes RPG
My group is looking for a few more players (2-4) to play the 1980s TSR Marvel Super Heroes RPG.
Games would be fairly evenly divided between roleplaying, problem-solving, and combat opportunities.
Games would have to be on weekends as I have parental & householder responsibilities weeknights.

P.S. I have PDFs of the game if you would like to read before playing but no experience is needed as the game is easy to learn.

Looking for a few good knights for PENDRAGON game
Seeking 3-4 players for a PENDRAGON campaign.
Players need to be reliable, games would have to be on weekends. Ideally we would play 2-3 times a month.
No experience needed, just enthusiasm and willingness to commit to the genre (adventure in the mythic Britain/Europe of King Arthur). I've only run PENDRAGON once before, back in the early 1990s.
Each player would start with 2 knights (one as backup because combat is deadly serious and recovery is slow in PENDRAGON). I am using the 4th edition, but magician characters will only be NPCs at least when we begin. Perhaps later 1 player might have a backup magician to use on occasion, but not as a regular adventurer as it doesn't fit the genre.

Anybody up for TOON, GHOSTBUSTERS, or TSR MARVEL SUPER HEROES RPGs?
Looking a few reliable players for TOON, GHOSTBUSTERS, or TSR MARVEL SUPER HEROES RPGs. Ideally we'd get together regularly, 2-3 times per month. No rules lawyers or min/maxers wanted, just folks who like to have fun playing the games and having adventures.
Other games I have and would be interested in playing if we have enough players interested as well:
DC HEROES by Mayfair Games
JAMES BOND 007 by Victory Games
HERCULES & XENA by West End Games
KING ARTHUR PENDRAGON by Chaosium
CALL OF CTHULHU by Chaosium
STAR WARS by West End Games
BASIC D&D by TSR (we're talking the real deal from the early 1980s, not the new red boxed set that looks like it)

Any secret agents out there?
Anyone want to play the James Bond 007 RPG?
The setting would be either the 1960s or 1980s, depending on player preferences, with the Cold War in full swing. Characters would be secret agents (somewhat more realistic than James Bond) working for an UNCLE-type organization called ICICLE (Independent Command for International Cooperation in Law Enforcement).
I'm in the Lemon Grove/La Mesa/Spring Valley/El Cajon area.

Looking for superheroes!
Anyone interested in playing a superhero RPG? I need 2-5 players for a super-team. Playing style would be 1970s-1980s comic bookish mixed with TV superhero power levels (think the old Wonder Woman, Hulk, Spider-Man, Batman, Isis, and Shazam shows). Not "campy," just fun and pseudorealistic. Characters would be the main superheroes of the city, along the lines of the Avengers or Super Friends, and adventures would range from local mysteries to global threats.
There are several different systems we could use but I would like to try the cool, diceless Marvel Universe RPG which is incredibly easy to learn and use. If not that, then the old TSR Marvel game or the Mayfair DC Heroes games would be good.

I have a group getting together at Game Empire on Saturday (7/24) at 1 p.m. so if anyone is interested, feel free to come join us. You don't need to know the rules as they're pretty simple to learn.

FASA Star Trek game seeking players
Players will be senior officers of a sister ship of the Enterprise, off on their own 5-year mission simultaneous to Kirk & co.
Games will have to take place on Friday evening, Saturdays, or Sunday daytime as the GM (me) has other responsibilities.
