Rapper AMG gunned down.
Trouble-plagued rapper AMG, real name Alfonzo Martin Green, is dead at the age of 25. Green was killed late friday night at Club Ichi, just hours after a concert at Staples Center. Police believe the murder may have been in retaliation for an earlier incident in the Staples Center parking structure, and a culmination of the public feud brewing between Green and fellow rap star HardKore.
Witnesses report Green had entered Club Ichi around 11pm with a large entourage, including DJ Roland and the up-and-coming rap star GG. The fire alarm went off just before a firefight broke out, and Green reportly was gunned down on the stage while standing next to his cousin and personal bodyguard, Rock Green.
Rock Green then allegedly opened fire on HardKore bodyguard TKO, fatally wounding him with repeated shots. It is also alleged that DJ Roland, currently in the ICU at White Memorial medical center, exchanged shots with HardKore, who was found dead at the scene.
Earlier in the evening, a gunfight erupted in the Staples Center parking garage, resulting in the deaths of Edwardo Sanchez and Emelio Johnson, both reputed members of the South Side Crips street gang. AMG was allegedly seen fleeing the scene in a black limosine.
AMG's murder comes just weeks after a public feud with HardKore, featured in such songs as AMG's "You my baby (Cuz I fucked your mom)" and HardKore's "On ya kneez." AMG rose to success with his first double-platinum record, "Bitch Booty Shaker."
Police are hoping witnesses with any information on these murders will come forward.
